Political Carrier

From 2001 to 2014, he served as Gujarat's chief minister.
In May 2014, he was appointed as Prime Minister of India.
Both in 2019 and 2024, he was re-elected. He began his current term on June 9, 2024.

Modi's involvement in the Gujarat riots of 2002 has generated discussion and criticism. His administration has been accused by some of not doing enough to curb the violence. Although he was exonerated by official inquiries, the criticisms are still being discussed in public.
Human rights, journalistic freedom, and nationalism-related policies are also criticized, particularly by minority communities.
